In-Depth MacBook Reviews

"Introduced in the fall of 2006, the current version of Apple's 13-inch MacBook laptop was a revolutionary product, combining Intel's Core 2 Duo CPUs with Apple's much-lauded operating system. Add in Apple extras such as the iSight camera, Front Row remote, iLife software, and MagSafe power adapter, and you have what is arguably one of the best-loved laptops on the planet." more from cnet.com...

"The new Core 2 Duo processors are not that much faster than the ones they replace, with a relatively paltry 33MHz clockspeed increase, but the frontside bus has been boosted to 800MHz, and the much-criticized GMA 950 integrated graphics are gone, with the newer—but still integrated—GMA X3100 in its place. I know this must be better by the presence of an X in the moniker and the fact that 3100 is more than three times larger than 950. The new graphics can use 144MB of RAM instead of 64, and since I save my gaming for the Xbox 360, I think it's something I can live with." more from arstechnica.com...

"Apple has once again updated its popular consumer laptop. The latest glossy-screened MacBooks look visually identical to their six-month-old siblings, but a number of significant under-the-hood improvements have added new pace to this generation, with no increase in price." more from macworld.co.uk...
